movement is still infrequent at 23 weeks, you may only feel it when you lay down and really concentrate. The baby is still quite small, and while you are active the movements may be very easy to overlook. In another 3-4 weeks you will notice much stronger movemnts, and you may notice the baby has established a routine of predictable wake and sleep patterns.

I am 21 weeks and I am feeling the baby move at kinda regular times now, but this is my fourth baby and have felt movements much soner this time round.
Also depends how active your baby is as well.
And another important factor is where your plaenta is sited, mine is post which is at the back so I can feel the movements at the front much easier as there is nothing cushioning them, if your plaenta has attached at the front then the baby will be that bit further back as well.
Other considerations are what position the baby is in and also you BMI.
Generally at the moment I am noticing kicks and movements every 5 or so hours, usually morning, afternoon and then bedtime, last about 5 or ten minutes active each time, also feel the swooshing movenments etc.
You tend to notice the movements more if you are sitting relaxing or lying in bed than if you are busy and active.

You should be feeling quite a bit of moving around at 23 weeks. Most women will feel movement at 16 weeks. I would say you should feel at least 6-8 movements a day. If you're worried about it go get you a tall glass of orange juice and drink it all, then lay down somewhere comfortable and if you don't feel any movement at all withing an hour then call your doctor. Orange juice will always make the baby move. That's what my doctor always told me and I have 2 kids ages 1&3.

I'm 26 weeks and at 23 weeks I would sporadically feel my baby move. Some days I'd feel him all day and some days not at all. Now that I'm 26 weeks, I feel him pretty much everyday, still some times more than others. At 28 weeks is when you should be feeling REALLY regular movements and start doing kick counts and all that fun stuff.

it varies each baby and pregnancy is individual, it also depends a lot on where your placenta is situated and the babies position! if the baby is 'kicking' against the placenta you wont feel its movements too much! also a lot of babies are active when we are asleep or walking etc, so movements may go unnoticed! doctors and midwifes do not really put too worry on movements until your around 28 weeks, when they expect at least ten movements in a day! please try not to worry too much as long as your feeling something, it should be OK! but of course if you are really concerned you can always ask your midwife or doctor for advice!

It varies from person to person, but from personal experience, at 23 week I was able to feel the movements, but they were not very frequent, and were with out any patteren. Even there were one day or two when I will hardky feel the baby move, which is completely normal at this stage.
