its done in a few easy steps:
-First go to the youtube page fo the video you want to download.
-Then highlight the URL.
-Go to www.vixy.net, its a conversion site where you can convert youtube videos (flash) into any format you want, (for your Ipod wtv).
-paste the URL onto the space provided, and it will begin converting, no software to download nor any fees to charge.
-After converting (around 5 mins for a 5 min video), you can download the converted video onto your hardrive. The name will be a bunch of letters and numbers, leave it be. Change the name to desired name after download. Changing the name beforehand will often disrupt the download.
Go to the place where you saved it, and play it.

First, you need Firefox in order to download a very useful browser component simply called, "VideoDownloader."
The Downloader will rip the flash files and put them on your hardrive.
Second, you need a "flash player" to play the video files. You CANNOT play them on WMP, Real Player, or Quicktime.
If you want to go further, download the "Videora" converter to convert the flash files into Mp4 format and you can put them onto your iPod.

I don't believe there is any way to do this. The only way to save these is when video plays, add that page to favorites or open a youtube account and save to your youtube favorites.

Use a program named TubeHunter. It is the most reliable and allows you to save youtube videos as MP3s, MPEG-4s(for ipods video format), and a ton of other formats.
The files are also pretty small after conversion.

If you're using IE - they're in your temp folders. You have to find them and rename them. Not rocket science.
If you're using FireFox - you can get an extension such as Ook!, FlashGot or Download This! to do it for you.
Or, you can use a webpage:
