The purple Sox. yet come playoff time cube ok won't be their variety 3 starter. particular he had a great interest final night, in spite of the undeniable fact that it grew to become into basically one start up. cube ok proved that he would be good at situations, yet while it is composed of the playoffs Buchholz is going to be the purple Sox variety 3 starter because of the fact he's earned it extra effective than cube ok has. Sabathia is sweet (not against the purple Sox), and in case you have faith Burnett interior the playoffs then you certainly're loopy. Beckett will constantly be the Sox ace, yet Lester has been extra constructive this season he basically gets extra no judgements and much less run help.

The thing with Dice-K is that he realy isn't bad. He is good. with the exeption of a few games he's held the other teams to baout 2-3 runs. It's the fact that the batting hasn't helped him. I think most of his losses are scores like 2-1. Like i say its not him its the batting on the Sox thats killing him.

Lets be fair here, 13-10, 3.76 ERA, 172K's in 170innings, those numbers are pretty good.
The win total isn't what it could be, but he is a quality pitcher, anyone saying otherwise is wrong.
He will adjust and i expect to actually get better as he adjusts to the league and pitching in America, its different than Japan.
All teams know him, I don't think the league will or can adjust to him, they already have because of the hype, few of the teams scouted him to sign him, so they know all about him (Yankees, Seattle)

Two ways to look at it.
#1 He's very good for a rookie.
#2 He won't do as well in the future once American hitters become used to his game (see previous Japanese pitchers who started strong before burning out like Nomo)
I'm leaning towards #1 at the moment. His 9.11 K/9 ratio is very strong indeed. One of the best in the majors. He's 5th in the AL in strikeouts. 3.76 is a very solid ERA in today's majors (120 ERA+)

Very good, if he had any run support at all he would have 17 wins.

His pitches don't really have much movement in them. His slider is more like a slurve. His fastball is dead straight. I don't see how he can be a 20 game winner.
