Would you support a constitutional amendment which would either do away with birthright citizenship in it's entirety, or at least modify it in such a way that it would no longer be beneficial to the illegals in this country?

Doctor J, My question simply asked if an individual would support such an amendment, nowhere did I offer a prototype or plan for such an amendment.

sure. I have the wording already for ya.
"henceforth, for a baby born in the USA to be considered a citizen, its natural mother giving birth must be a legal resident of the USA at the time and day of birth. Furthermore, all babies born from illegal alien mothers are considered non citizens of the USA and subject to deportation along with their mother if and when deportation occurs, and the responsiblity of its parents and the mother's native country."

Yes. We never needed birthright citizenship anyway and now it's being used as a tool by illegals to gain sympathy.

Religion is a different issue than gay marriage - they cannot be lumped together. We have to follow the intent of the Constitution... I an sure the Founders would not approve of gay marriage ( I am sure they could not have imagined it) - but they did believe in freedom of religious choice so we should not ban atheism. God doesn't force religion or beliefs on us either.

As it stands now yes. Until we get the border figured out I would honestly look for any way to keep American citizenship out of the hands of those who broke are laws to get it, even if that means their children must pay for the mistakes of their parents. Cruel, I know, but that is the nature of the beast.

If law enforcement would do their jobs and the president did his and funded the imigration offices to crack down on employers who hire illegals, we wouldn't need this kind of constitutional amendment.
