The video girls decide to show up and "shake it" for the camera. It's sad that a female would actually walk around in the front of a green screen with a tiny bikini on, while Rappers throw money on her, but she has to deal with it, and she gets paid for it. Rappers aren't forcing these women to be in their video. I saw that documentary a few years ago. Was it on VH1?

Yes, Rappers may tell a female to have sex with them in order for the female to appear in a video, but they don't have to do it. I find that wrong, and if a video girl decides to do that, she has some problems. I also find it wrong when Rappers try to touch or "push up" on a video girl because most of them are there to be in the video, not to get harassed. Some females actually go to a video shoot and try to have sex with the artist or someone in the "crew" of the artist, so they can end up in the video. They give video girls a bad name.

Well I dont think that any women on a set has been forced to do anything...she had a choice to be degraded or walk off the set...forcing sounds like rape to me...and the video vixen is just a step up from groupie...in my opinion it just she's getting paid by these cats to do extra..like be a mistress to these dudes...lol Radio is making this popular and so is MTV...Now all of a sudden its a problem...like zero said dont support it...and sexism lives vividly in other music genres rock and country. Some rappers are just more cut and dry with it...lol...So why is rap all of a sudden under the microscope? Stay focused

I don't care if a see a girl in a mini skirt or mini shorts and a short top or a bikini, but if they have thong or something on that shows to much of the privite area then I think that's gross. How can they stand seeing that? and I also think it's kinda gross when a girl is shaking her booty in front of a guy or very close up in the camera it just looks gross. But the girl does have a choice to be in there or not they don't make the girl do that and she might not care as long she getting payed or she probley likes to do that or maybe she likes the clothes or something she has her reasons.

If no girl wants to do it then the GUY rapper would just have to choose something else to do and the guy probley is just saying that he gets pretty girls not to give them a bad name or he could just want the girl to do that or something he has his reasons to. Not all hip-hop or rap music has women like that eigther just some and just like people think it's gross to have women that naked I don't really like seeing the guys underware alot. LOL. I don't mind if they have it knda saggy, but I kinda think it's gross to have them WAAY saggy like Plies did when he did the song Shawty with T-Pain for exapile. The girl was dressed fine by the way.

Ok I'll stop typing for now ok well bye bye.

If people didn't buy the music, the artist wouldn't make it.
If a certain segment of women didn't get into these videos, they wouldn't be as popular.

I don't think rappers wake up in the morning hating women, having a goal to get to the studio and break em down in three songs. They wake up and want to make a song that will make money.

Yep, it's true...It happens in the industry. You must've just watched that one called "Confessions of a Video Vixen" on BET, huh...Yes, it's quite informative. They say one of the key players was that chic they call SuperHead who wrote a Tell-All book about it...She's the one that Bobby Brown first ran to when Whitney finally kicked him to the curb. She has alot of stories to share apparently. Personally, I think it's bad, but unfortunately there are these long lines of starlet wannabees...Chics who WANT to be in videos so much so that eventually many of the wear the title "Video Ho" proudly. Alot of rap does degrade women...and unfortunately, rap is the only form of music that does that...Can you think of any other genre of music that disses women like rap often does? And of course...not all rap is bad...not all rap does that and not all chics in music videos are video hos...., but there's enough evidence to make a very interesting, much played documentary on it...What can ya do? As long as rap sells, there will be things that people like and dislike about it. Some of it is downright triflin', some of the lyrics, but I'm sorry...I LOVE me some "The Chronic" That is my favorite rap album of all times and it does have some bad stuff to say about some women...ole Snoop...but hey! I only own 2 rap CD's: The Chronic and Get Rich or Die Tryin' (The damn Wal-Mart edited version at that....)...The rest of my stuff is mainly Smooth Jazz, with some R&B and a little Classic Rock, so I can't really say that I perpetuate the negativity as much as some folks do, but people like what they like and by nature, we BUY what we like...The dissin' of women (mostly black women) in rap is simply one of those ugly truths, ya know?

I know that there are women like that but when it's like that in every song that's not necessary.
