Actually, Vick won't play in the NFL again because of racketeering and gambling. The league doesn't care about dead dogs, they care about the perception of cheating, and the integrity of the league and the games played within it. Once a player is linked to gambling, even on a completely different sport, he can't be allowed to play in the league anymore.
As far as comparisons, each guy was stupid in a completely different way. The simple truth is Michael Vick broke the law, he admitted it, and he will be punished. That's how it works in this country, no matter what color your skin is.

People try to prove stereotypes are correct. Vick is wrong for what he did period. OJ is a smart guy w/ a great alibi and he got REALLY lucky. Kobe didnt rape the chick, she probably just felt like a hoe for sleeping w/ someone she didnt know and wanted to get famous.

(As I've posted before)
I'm not exactly sure what is going on with the legal side of his punishments etc, but I do know the NFL are suspending him indefinitely without pay and will keep it that way unless they change their mind.
The NFL is pretty serious about misconduct and players giving off a negative image and they should! Playing pro football is not something you do because it's fun, it's a sport that you truly have to devote your life to. I don't know the percentage, but what... almost all NFL players went to a university, are well educated and put in plenty time towards football mentally and physically?
I think the NFL would prefer not to have any dog-drowning / electrocuting Quarterback and his story become tolerable and suitable for a role-model for children.
Just because you devote your life to something and work extremely hard, doesn't mean that it can't all go away 'just-like-that' because of something truly wrong you did, because it can.

Because they are perpetuating the cyle of excuses. Why anyone would want to make excuses for a monster that tortured and killed dogs is beyond me, but they are out there. A very small minority, grant you, but it is bizarre to say they are there. I have seen every excuse from blaming the DOGS to blaming the NFL for his actions. Michael Vick could care less about these people, yet they are willing to look like idiots by making excuses for his behavior. Absolutely mind-boggling. If they don't feel like what he did is so heinous, that's their business. But to have the gall to try and make excuses for him, that's just absoulutely idiotic.

Because many black people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson take advantage of black celebrities such as Vick, Kobe and OJ to further their personal cause.

Well, the issue is every time a black athlete is in the news, folks always have to compare all black athletes that were accused of wrong doing.

Why do you think? And do me a favor...
ask yourself.. why did you post this question when you know what type of answers you'll get?
ask yourself... why did you wake up this morning?
ask yourself... are you an idiot for posting this?
I'll answer the last one for you... yes...
You know why people are comparing them... cuz it's simple they are all the same. Hunting is killing defenseless animals for your pleasure. Dogfighting is killing defenseless animals for pleasure. Boxing is watching people beat the crap out of each for your pleasure. Eating burgers... wearing leather... killing a pig for the football...
You see where all this is going... it's the same thing.
And to Vick is Sick... everyone is entitled to their own opinion granted. But the one's who are still sticking with Mike Vick are the one's who are thinking the way I am. The fact remains that animals are abused everyday in America and foreign countries.... how so... by hunting. But you guys don't want to compare it because 'it's different'...
so deers, wild boar, chicken, cow... they are carry machine guns now and can defend themselves? They pump chicken up with steroids and estrogen so you can get it... they kill the cow and make it into beef patties, they kill pigs and wild boar for more food and what's left over of the pigskin is made into a football. And deers... are a more gentle then any dog I know... but nobody speaks up for them when people are hitting them at full speed or hunting them down and hanging their antlers in their homes.
