What games will it be able to support?
I want a card that can support some good games, but I don't want to spend a lot.

I'd like some recomendations on some fairly priced cards that will support some of the newer games on medium res.

ANY graphics card on the PCI BUS is SLOW. If you really want to enjoy PC games, move up to 8x AGP format, but x16 PCIe is the best.

Definitely go for AGP or PCIe if your system supports it. I tried working with a PCI graphics card for a while, and it really isn't able to do much. Swapped it out for an XFX Geforce 6200 (AGP 8x), and it works much better, plus it was pretty cheap. With shipping and tax, it only ran me $66 on Tigerdirect. With this one, I'm able to run BF2 with decent settings, and Oblivion at sorta medium-low settings, though I think I might be in need of a processor and motherboard upgrade to get better performance there.

For the record, it's dropped $5 in price by now, and it's got a $10 rebate on it too. Not a bad card at all for $40.

yeah if its a PCI card you wont get much, i wouldnt even waist money on it, you want to get an AGP card.

i have a radeon a9250 agp, and thats pretty much the min. you would want, it costs 70$ but a good one will be around $200

It is a highly outdated card. It will be able to support old games, and some of the junkier new ones, but not much.

whats your mother board and system specs
if you have AGP I recommend a 7300 gt for $60 the best budget card out there.
