This stinks, and Im sure there have been a number of questions like this. I got this desknote no name laptop from a freind of my ex, I dont have any windows disks or resotre disks or anything.
i updated pc tools antivirus and a bad file kept crashing my computer, so the folks at pctools.com told me to remove the program alltogether. so I did. and now when i turn on my computer it goes through the memory check and the select operating system screens but after that it just goes black. wen i select safe mode i get a huge list of files, but nothing else happens, it just shuts off. and any other option doesnt do anything.
i really need immediate help, and not any simpleton stuff as ive most likely tried it. i am very broke and cant afford to buy a disk or get it fixed otherwise id save myself the trouble of trying to figure this out.
please please please please help me! im begging you. my laptop is my main resource for EVERYTHING and i need it to work.

Did you get the info from pctools support by phone or on-line? If by phone, call them back and tell them what happened. If on-line, take your laptop to the public library, use the computer there and contact pctools. It was their program you were working with when the computer crashed.
P.S. It sounds like you caught a virus or something.

you need to reinstall windows... or repair, i dont think there's other way to solve it. one way or another you will have to pay to get it fixed, unless you are a pro, then you might be able to repair it with a borrowed windows disk.
