In a dispute to the correct format of this question, the word child was replaced by children. is this correct; child or children?

The word "which" implies there is more than one to choose from, so it would have to be children (plural) not child.
If you think about it you can see why. If your father only had a child (meaning just one) then you wouldn't have a brother, would you?

Which of your father's child is not your brother? very correct of which the answer is your sister. On the other hand children,will take the plural form, which of your father's children are not your brothers ?your sisters.Its a gender question.

children is correct. Child is singular. Children is plural. Since you are speaking of more than one child, you must use the plural form -- children.

It's children because of the fact that you're using the word "which". That's tell me that I have to choose between more then one.
