Its just a dream. Dreams don't make sense. I have no clue how our subconscious minds work... or why we dream about certain people... or whatever. I've had weird dreams about random people I know too. Okay... maybe not NICE dreams... but... just random dreams. Even if I don't even know the person.
Well you're his boss so you have to handle it professionally (easier said than done huh?). I think as long as you don't TELL him or anyone about the dream there won't be any awkwardness... I mean this guy can't read minds!

Dreams always have hidden meanings. You could have just placed this guy's face in your dream. I wouldn't think too much about it. After all, it was only a dream. Don't get so worked up. If you don't have any romantic interest in him, I would just forget it. Heck, I have had dreams about guys I haven't even met yet. Creepy.
Besides, sometimes, when you think about things a lot, they end up in your dreams. Sometimes, random things just end up there. The mind works in mysterious ways.
All I'm saying is dreams are meant for sleeping. Don't fire him because of the dream. If his work skills are lacking, then all the power to you, but don't give up a good worker just over a dream. I bet a week from now, you'll barely remember it.

You wont be embarrassed if you don't show it. He doesn't know about the dream you had. And it probably wasn't based on anything really sexual, unless you have already had that thought about him previously. I'd say to interpret your dream, without knowing the details it's more work related . Since you are his boss, I'd assume that you might be wishing that you could have a closer boss/employee type relationship.
