A few years ago I was an egg donor and found out I had PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) meaning I produce the eggs but my ovaries don't relase them. I tried Clomid for a couple of months and it was HORRIBLE (major anger/hot flushes). Has anyone been successful with any other fertility methods? Hubby just got tested and he's fine. I'm turning 38 so I don't have much time left.

Clomid was awful for me, too. It was by far the worst fertlity med I have taken, and I have taken just about all of them. You may want to move on to injectibles, like Gonal-F or Menopur. They are more expensive that Clomid, but have a higher response rate and the side effects were WAY less severe for me than they were with clomid. Good luck!

You should really discuss Femara with your doctor. It is taken 5 days early in your cycle just like Clomid, but without the side effects. It isn't a fertility drug, but most doctors will write it off-label to induce ovulation.

Not yet but still trying and hoping. I wish you all the best with your attempts. It might be worth seeing what other fertility methods are available to you, like IVF

I don't think you have any time left. Your chances of having a downs kid increased significantly when you hit the age of 35. And if you have a baby now, you'll be 58 when they are just wanting to start college. Just remember, not everyone lives until they are 80-100, and heart disease is still the #1 killer of women over the age of 55.

God only gives you what you can handle...

My friend used a combo of Metformin, Femera and a shot of something and she got pregnant in a month.
