A tampon is only going to go in one way, and come out the same way.
If you are standing, one foot on the tub, figure about a 45 degree angle upward, toward your back....like this the upward bar on a Z.

Insert it at a 45 degree angle; so by pointing it towards the small of your back, it means you are angling it rather than going straight up. The vaginal passage curves towards the small of your back, so you have to angle it accordingly. There should be a small illustration on the tampon box that shows you how.

Look coming from a women that has used tampons for a long time, what you can do is standing up spread your legs and squat down a little. With one hand hold open your er...lips...position the tampon and insert it. By the way you are squatting the tampon will go up in the correct position. Practice makes perfect...

Just aim up. The vagina is just a bunch of stretchy skin, it will move any which way. Hold it at the base of the main applicator. Push it up until the fingers reach your body, then push the little plunger. Done! Now that was easy, wasn't it?

well try it at like a 45 degree angle and then push it but if it's not working then try moving it around alittle until you find the right spot, that's what i found worked best because it took me awhile to find the right angle
