Cause you're retarded? Remember back? They wanted to CHECK to make sure he didn't have WMD, they didn't cooperate to well. The entire UN was getting mad, it was just that we were the only country that had the balls to do something about it (Well, except the UK and Australians to any real extent). As to the 9/11 connection, didn't Saddam have a nephew who was on one of the planes or helped fund it or something? That wasn't the main reason, but it certainly doesn't help you look better. Thats if it was true.
Oh, and Zes, if they were truely good "Nazis" they'd probably have already gotten rid of you "commies" already.... just so you know.

Nobody that i know of said Saddam attacked us on 9/11. However the 9/11 commission report said Saddam had ties with Al Qaeda. If you happen to have a copy of the report, it explains the ties on page 66. Read it for yourself.

Those aren't "right-wingers" that say that. I know it's convenient to make everything into left and right, but actually, the "right-wingers" in the Republican Party didn't really support this war at all. And George Bush is pretty much a liberal on spending and benefits and things like that. There, again, it's inconvenient to admit, but it's true. Nobody has increased the size of government and the spending on government programs as much as he has. That's no right-winger that I've ever heard of.
So, the correct question is probably "why do so many neocons, or so many Bush-supporters, or so many Hawkish Republicans still think that Saddam participated in 9/11?" Leave the right out of this...we've been trying to get our party back from these morons for 7 years now, ever since we figured out that they had a different agenda.
Oh, and to answer your question, they probably DO know it deep down, but they need to keep believing it, because they really don't want to think of themselves attacking without a powerful reason.

Most of the people where I work are fairly conservative in their views, and to date, none of them have ever come out and said that Saddam Husein was responsible for the attacks on 9/11. For those that do . . . well, they're just wrong in their assumption.

Well if they admitted to that, then they would have to admit that the war was a personal vendetta on good Ole-pres-Bush's part. Mr. Bush took advantage of our countries emotions at the time to settle a score with someone that his daddy couldn't take car of back in the 90's.
I'm not to the right or the left, I don't fallow party lines. I vote for what and who I think is right for the country. When 9/11 happen, I have to say that I was happy that we had a leader that took action, but somehow we allowed ourselves to get into a war that we are not going to be able to get out of very easily. Our emotions were high at that time, now that we see clearly it is easier to see that we were all side tracked, it isn't about left and right, it is about what is right for America, the country I love...

It is not that he attacked us but the fact that he supported and houses them so they can grow divide and conquer... Saddam deserved to die as well as his sons!
Saddam was resourceful and had allot of money so even though we didn't find WMD how do you know for sure that they never existed? After all he did have some time to get rid of any if in fact there was any...

WE DID NOT THINK SADDAM ATTACKED US ON 9/11.
THAT WAS BIN LADEN....
SADDAM DID HAVE WMD AT ONE TIME AS HE GASSED THOUSANDS OF HIS OWN PEOPLE...WE WILL EVENTUALLY FIND THEM..
PROBABLY MOVED TO IRAN.
THE REASON WE WENT IN TO IRAQ, WAS BECAUSE SADDAM HAD NOT KEPT 17 RESOLUTIONS AND KEPT BREAKING HIS WORD. THE UNITED NATIONS, KEPT WARNING HIM WE WERE COMING IN IF HE DID NOT COMPLY. HILLARY CLINTON VOTED TO GO IN. MOST OF CONGRESS VOTED TO GO IN AFTER SEEING THE SAME INTELLIGENCE THAT PRESIDENT BUSH SAW.
SO IT IS NOT PRES. BUSHES WAR. IT IS CONGRESS' WAR AND HILLARYS WAR AND THE UN'S WAR AS WELL AS GERMANY, JAPAN AND ISRAELS WAR.

No One ever believed that Saddam attacked us. He in fact did have ties to terrorism because he supported and premoted genocide. Saddam had prievously had WMD's and it was to risky to let him staty in power. Saddam was and evil man.
