I remember, as a child in the 80's, being told of some famous lady who hated children. I have no idea who she was, but I remember thinking how awful it was, since "she was a kid once!" and being scared of her, that I may bump into her... lol.
Anyway, did I make this up in my head, or was there really a woman known for hating children (or just a woman famous for other reasons, but was also known to hate children)?

I also thought of Joan Crawford because there was a movie out in the 80's called "Mommy Dearest" which was based on a book her adopted daughter wrote about her. She did evil things like flip out over wire coat hangers and she got her kids up in the middle of the night to scrub floors and cut down trees and stuff.
Google mommy dearest and see what pops up.
