I went through menopause at the age of 31 after a complete hysterectomy. Menopause occurs when the female body starts to make less and less estrogen and progesterone.. Aren't you a nurse? Don't you already know this?

Ha like a guy would know. Really though it differs for everyone. Typically the earlier you start your period in puberty, the earlier you start menopause. For example, my middle sister is 49, and she went through menopause 5-6 years ago. I am the youngest at 47 and I just completed 1 year without a period - full menopause. However, the oldes of the 3 of us is 50 and she is still menstrating. She did not start her periods until she was 14. I started at 12 and our middle sister started at 11, so the theory works here. You can be as young as 40 and go through menopause, as well as be as old as 60 - there is no set age.

Menopause is usually a change that occurs in mid-life (45-55) however you can begin Hot flashes or other symptoms as early as 35. See your Dr. if you are concerned and ask to have your hormone levels tested.

It varies. Some women go into menopause early in life but then there are women who are much older. Every woman is different. I think it kinda depends on the age of when you started menstrating. If you are quite young when you start there is a possibility that you go into menopause early.
