I don't know what our next far-reaching evolutionary changes will be except that I don't think it is possible to devolve into non-human apes. Humans are apes, but we only share a common ancestor with other existing apes. It would be nearly impossible for our alleles to change in ways that correlate exactly with the alleles of other apes on this planet.

Human populations over time may change - but into super men? It depends on what that means. Humans may adapt to environmental changes but whether that means the species will be smarter or stronger depends on whether or not humans need to be smarter or stronger to survive the new conditions. We cannot predict what kinds of mutations will result within the population that will be selected for as part of adaptation.

We can't devolve into apes...

...we ARE apes.

As far as devolution...

...becoming less adapted to our environment is always possible, but unlikely that everyone will. Those being more proactive will likely continue to adapt....

As far as "loosing ground" and losing some measure of intelligence or social capability...

...that is also possible if the selective pressures that provide a reproductive and survival advantage are slacked. More likely, the biggest factor that might restrain continued adaptation to the world around us is the ideal of durable, proprietary, monogamy and the insistence that everyone should reproduce and be heterosexual.

As far as supper men, some cultures explored cannibalism but it opens the door for many different diseases and may be an ultimate disadvantage.

Devolve has a different word. Death. Extinction. Evolution is about change. Adaptation to its environment. I think our next kind of future beings will be more of a team work sharing peaceful enduring trustful mass productive hive of metropolitan humans. We are rewarded for helping others. The more customers we have, the greater the reward and the benefit. If you are a criminal we put you away in jail. Super wo/man will be one that serves the need of his fellow men/women.

lolol

We did not evolve from Apes. But, if we had, we would be “devolving” to Apes the second Thursday from now at 4:07 PM. Get you affairs in order!

What I have read is that the brain will continue to grow, making the head larger and the hips of women will have to become wider for the bigger brains of babies.

neither as technology has basically excluded us from natural selection. Unless some sort of totalitarian eugenic regime comes along we will not change

As we are children of God and did not evolve from apes, but rather are here to grow to be more like Him, I'll go with becoming more like God.

Evolution does not have direction. Any predictions, such as yours, would be sheer conjecture.
