Does working as a comission associate in one of the big stores have any future?

I mean are there any promotions in this job? How can I get promoted? If I work there, do I spend whole my life as a commission associate or are there other ways to develop myself in the customer service and selling career?

commission associate means to work in the sales of a store, like selling jewelry or make- up, but you get paid extra money or commission for each transaction you do

Of course there is a future. If you excel at your position and show leadership and/or management potential... someone will notice and you would be recommended for a promotion as a trainer, manager, district manager... the possibilities are endless.

Commission jobs usually do not have promotions be cause if you want more money you will earn it. Some commission jobs have more income potential than others.
There are other jobs in customer service and selling that can help develop yourself, by giving you more training and information to help on sales.

I would not work on comission only, there is no future in this position. Go to Sears.com an apply on-line, and they will give you an interview time at the end of the application.

You should be a Cosmotologist or Avon, if you want to work on commission it is about the same thing

I think the problem is people dont know what a commision associate is.

If you could explain what one is maybe there would be better answers.

"Edite" ok i think i know what you mean now. Like onother poster siad you'll probly be working in a sears type place. Now there is a slight chance you could get promoted to assistant manager or soemthing like that but i doubt it.

There's always gonna be a more senior person there then you who will take the avalialbe raise or higher position from you.

good luck.

Maybe, depends on the employee turnover. There are management positions, but there's a lot of compatition in sales. Customer service is, in my opinion, more laid back.

umm, well i don't know if i can help you, but maybe if you describe what a comission associate is, i, or someone else, can answer your question. i think most of us just don't know what that is.
