Okay, so today....
My friends were wanting to take pictures together. But some lady that "worked" there said No cameras?

Second time, my friends parents and more friends wanted a group photo, so we were set to take pics, but then we were stopped...
"You can't take pictures in malls"

WTF?
WHY?
Someone explain...

She even called security wow.

It is an anti theft technique. They do not want you taking pictures in case you are trying to rob the store.
Pictures can provide information on security and merchandise they might need to know about.

Dont know. Most malls and stores do have signs on the door or at the front door with a list of rules, and that is one of them. No cameras. Although i have rarely if ever heard of that rule being enforced. I walked around through a mall with my niece once carrying my camcorder filming her and everything else...nobody said anything. Its just a stupid rule that sounds like you had the unfortunate and rare experience of having enforced.
Try it again at another mall, if they tell you no cameras just be polite, say you are sorry and didnt know. Dont get rude or anything. Its their mall, they make the rules as silly as they may seem.

it's a privacy thing, someone in the backround may get a unwanted picture taken. It's the malls right to not allow it
