It's a common North American centipede, the garden centipede. They're completely harmless to human.

That is a centipede-- not a bug-- not even an insect. They eat people who call them by the wrong class. Where are you? This is new to you? I find about one a day in the summer.

It looks like a millipede. They usually go for damp areas and rotting vegetation. Some do bite, but they are not dangerous.

Looks like a shriveled up silverfish, they like damp basements and bathrooms but they're harmless
and it's an insect....not a bug (sorry to be pedantic)

Thank God for AquaNet hairspray! I am not kidding. I spray those things with my hairpray and it freezes them and then I can smack them with the fly swatter. Otherwise, they run so fast you can't kill'em. Hate 'em!!
