How can you tell if someone is gay?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Gay guys won't just start hitting on you. You will be the one initiating that by staring them down trying to decide if they're gay or not. So, if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'd relax. What are you so afraid of anyway that you need "personal protection"? Are you afraid that if something DOES happen that you might discover that you like it? Again, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Gay guys have better things to do than to hit on every guy who crosses their path. Yeah, you're right, ******* ARE a part of life, just like biggots and homophobes are a part of life too. And just because a guy walks by and smiles at you doesn't make him gay. Of course, if I were him I wouldn't waste my time because you seem too uptight to even tell when someone is just being nice. If they keep eyeing you at the bar and you aren't interested, don't freak. Please. Depending on what kind of people are around (and how much they've been drinking), you could get yourself, the other guy, or both of you hurt. You can't really tell if someone is gay, unless they're wearing a boa (and hardly anyone does). Just don't panic, stay away from the gay bars, and enjoy life. Gays won't rape you or otherwise harm you.
