I signed up for an always on connection, my computer and modem are capable of that connection. May service provider says they don't supprt that service? So what did I order?

Either

1. Your modem is incompatible with their service

or

2. The modem is compatible, but the ISP doesn't support configuring the modem for you. At that point, you would need to call the manufacturer of the modem for assistance, or go to their website.
