depends on what the items are. you could take clothing and other items like that to a consignment shop if there is one in your town. other things that you just want to be rid of, i would take to the salvation army or goodwill....

I donate most of the good things. Sometimes I give items to special friends. Have another garage sale with some friends and this time lower the prices on those items that didn't sell.

we have a Sunday market here and I know some people who sold their garage sale leftovers the next day at the market.
different clientele

You can call a few thrift store organizations (Goodwill, St Vincent de Paul, Retarded Citizens, etc to see who will come and pick things up. They probably won't take everything you have, but you can donate some at least.
Some things I have gotten rid of by placing them next to the street on Saturday morning; people go around looking for yard sales and freebies.
If you've had a garage sale and have given away everything anybody will take, you have to call your local trash pickup utility, and have them bring out a dumpster big enough to put the rest in. It's sad that nobody will take these items that you know somebody could use; but they don't want to, so you have to send them to the dump.

Its already paid for so donate it. Clutter ruins ones mind. I know you were probably hoping to make more money on sales but evidently you cannot. So either consign or donate or throw out. If it were worth much it would have sold. Look at it this way, the money has been spent on it and you need to have a clear mind. YOu will never miss it once you get rid of it.

If its not possible to sell it off and room is at a premium I suggest you donate it to your favourite charity.

As I grew older, like everyone else, although I looked after my self, stayed in shape, the odd few pounds appeared and eventually I just couldn't comfortably wear the majority of my suits, jackets and trousers (top quality) I'd bought over many years and still retained a fashionable appearance.

Also being partially deaf and slightly blind in one eye (military service) I'd invariably taken an interest in such charities and supported many of their activities.

One day a mate pulled me up and asked what I was going to do with wardrobes full of gear - to small to wear and just gathering dust. We'd often talked of this and what to do with it.

Take it the deaf charity U support, he voiced, there having a "do" next month and trying to raise enough cash to sponsor death children for a weeks holiday in the West Country.

Say no more. The joy that holiday gave to 18 young deaf children (looked after & cared for by a few volunteers) was unbeleivable.

I continue to support both the deaf and blind institues, indeed whenever I need a new jacket or whatever I buy a second hand one from their shops. I dont think I've got an original item (new) in my wardrobe.

Its not only clothes, such charities collect books, furniture, household items, knick nacks and everything else.

If any of it is worth anything, you can try selling it on eBay. They even have things like "odd lots" where you sell things by the pile. Like, you could sell a group of crafts items all together, or baby clothes, or toys or whatever categories you can think of.

If you can't just give it away, see if you can't think of some creative ways to reuse items.

Well determine what is still useable and what you've just kept around because you can't stand throwing them away.
Then donate.

Donate them to goodwill or just throw them away.
