Well, there already is a lot of peace in the world. Most of it I think goes that way. Media makes us feel like it's not.
But I think the absence of war is a possibility. There's a lot that needs to happen. I don't think it can happen now with the current level of awareness we have as a whole. When enough of us can resist and over come the urge toward violence and instead use our powerful minds to work it out, then we will have peace. I think we are on this track, but it is a long way off. Meanwhile, make peace as much as you can in your life. You never know where it will go.

Since time immemorial there has never been peace amongst mankind, and I don't think that we could ever attain that dream. The world is already populated by so much evil, greed and hatred that ,whether we like it or not, cure for such viciousness is already out of the question. (Just think of all the war and killings happening around the globe every minute.) However, if there's one good consolation we get from not having peace, that is to be able to savor and appreciate the meaning and experience of PEACE and SERENITY .For if we all grew up in a peaceful world, what more meaning can the word "peace" have? And by experiencing peace it doesn't necessarily have to be peace among nations and mankind. Peace within one's self is one of the most gratifying peace that one can ever experience.

The goal of the Big Bully is to achieve peace. Maybe not to benefit you, me or the man upstairs but only to satisfy their quest for personal satisfaction, power and money. That is their peace. How does such a Bully accomplish such an incredible task when he or they (powerful network of Bully's) are outnumbered? One way would to be create total dependency. This can be achieved economically and by force. Can it really happen to the rest of us as it has already happened to small segments of every society in every region of the world. We are seeing it in action on a much larger scale as the smaller scale of movement which is occurring at a much faster pace is being overlooked.

you are right about our back yards.the world is to big for any one of us to make a peaceful place in with to live.BUT we can make not only our own back yard but our neighbors back yards safe.if ever one would be more tolerant of each other we could at least make our own community a safer place to live.
