Yes. Sony is planning to put the old PS1 games onto their Playstation Store on PSPs and PS3s. When the stores are online, all the games will become copyrighted by their creators.

It will take roughly 100 years for the rights to become public. Non-authored works are protected 95 years. Works that were authored by specific people are protected for 70 years after the death of the last contributor.
