When I used to live in Minnesota, my internet was perfect and never had any problems. Now I live in Texas, and my wireless/cable connection all too often stops functioning. I have tried multiple routers, and the result is always the same.

Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

you should try a different adapter or make sure all the adapters advanced settings match the routers settings ... also if the power has a tendency to blip out put the router and modem on a ups ..

If you have tried different routers then it might be your internet provider. That's what I think mine is, I have the same problem but don't want to switch before the contract is over. Hope you find it. Also live in Texas.

I have Cox Cable and when I first moved into my house I had the same problem. It turned out to be squirrels. They had chewed through the coax between the house and the service pole.
The tech replaced everything between the pole and the modem and all was good in my world.

There's a setting in your router that may need to be adjusted. Setup>Basic Setup page is where it's at on my Linksys 802.11b. I think that's the setting that should be set to 10000.

Hope this helps.

I bet it is the provider and I have that problem in southern Oklahoma. I have to call them at least 2 times everymonth about this and there is always a problem.

Try a wired router. If the problem persists, contact your ISP.
