I don't think so. We just had one in our backyard yesterday, and I picked him up to move him so he wouldn't be chopped up by the lawn mower. I seem to be okay. (LOL) Seriously, I've seen them in school exhibits and such, and I've never heard anything about them being toxic, and I've seen plenty of wildlife people on shows handling them. (Yeah, yeah, I know they handle rattlesnakes, too ... I still don't think this is a poisonous bug.) :-)
Try revising your search to praying mantis. You will probably find a lot more info.

No, they're not poisonous. They're pretty cool creatures, I used to catch them and keep them in a terrarium (they liked elm leaves to eat).
Think of them sort of like grasshoppers or crickets, they're no more poisonous than those are.
