Advice from a former Virginia State Trooper, who asked them not use his real name, "because I don't want people to think I'm trying to draw attention to myself," he said. He chose a colorful alias, asking that we just refer to him as Trooper Tom. Here are his 6 tips...

If the cop was sitting around with his radar detector, he's right, and dont argue.
But if he was just driving around, and saw you going fast, then pull over and do this:

1. Roll down window
2. Turn down music
3. Put interior lights on
4. Act like a nice guy
5. When he tries to pin anything on you, you ask him to prove it. Then say you were going the speed limit. And make sure you act smart about it. For example, its nighttime and the speedlimit is 60. You say I was doing 55, because its darker outside and I was driving for the conditions.

When they have no proof, they cant give you the ticket. If he still gives you the ticket, show up to court. 95% of the time, cops dont show up to court, so its automatically turned over.

ALWAYS show up to court, they rarely show up.

NEVER
yell at him
play **** tha police in your car
Keep your music playing

I agree with the article. From experience, keep your mouth shut. The cop will ask you "Do you know why I pulled you over?" Always answer NO, and listen to the cop and then let him write the ticket and always be polite. You can fight it in court later. Never admit to anything, just take the ticket and let the officer go ahead and leave then you can take off.

good luck.

If you were speeding when he pulls you over, tell him your an ar5e stretcher and are late for surgery. When he asks what an ar5e stretcher is, explain its your job to stretch peoples sphincters out to about 6 foot ready for surgery. When he asks "What do you do with a six foot ar5ehole", Tell him you stick it by the roadside in a uniform and give it a speed gun.

I would also add roll down the windows and turn on your interior lights so it will be easy to see that you are not a threat.
