I am building a PC and when I turn it on, I get no video and any case fan plugged into the 3 pin socket on the mobo won't spin. The monitor will receive a video signal for a split second and then the signal dies. My mobo uses LED lights instead of beeps so I don't get any beeps to troubleshoot with. I can't get to the POST screen or BIOS because the video signal isn't active long enough to get this far. The CPU fan will continue to spin and so does the gfx card fan until I hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn the computer off. I have tried removing everything except the CPU/Heatsink, ram, and gfx card. I have plugged in the power to the graphics card and the 8 pin cable to the cpu socket on the motherboard as well as the 24pin ATX connector. I have tried removing the mobo from the case as well to make sure the case wasn't shorting it and it still didn't work. I have also tried with a different stick of ram. Mobo is a p6n-sli fi, CPU is a e6750, ram is 2gb of 2.1v ddr2 corsair

Had a similar problem with building a dualcore computer.
It turned out to be the processor, but I only figured it out because I had another older processor that worked with the mobo and when I put it in, the board booted immediately.
Process of elimination is the only way I know to resolve the problem.
Best of luck.

CPU and GPU cooling fans spinning but NOT the case fan connected to mobo. Both are supplied from the the +12V rails. I suspect one of the +12V rail is not working.
1. Inspect the power connectors to the mobo. A pin may have retracted from the plastic holder and probably not contacting the mobo socket.
2. Check the cpu heatsink and its backplate. Make sure there is no electrical contact with mobo circuit.
2. Try a different power supply. If problem persists, +12V circuit of mobo could be the problem.
Make sure your Corsair is set at 2.1V in BIOS.

well the case fans do not plug into the mother board the only fan that should be plug into the mother board is the cpu cooling fan. and you have a video card with a cooling fan your power supply might not be big enough to handel it .also do u have the 4 plug power supply plug into the board Main Memory
• Supports dual channel DDR2 533/667/800, using four 240-pin DDR2 DIMMs
• Supports the memory size up to 8GB
• Supports 1.8v DDR2 SDRAM DIMM

the cpu you have is only a 2.6 gig check everyhting but i say it is your power supply

Vid need the PCI-E 6 pin connector?

Does the vid card have a 4 pin connector that needs to be plugged in as well?

have you tried to unplug the 8pin and see if it will show?

(RWT)

Hope this helps

attempt unpluggin each and every thing from the board. you are able to consistently take the cpu out and examine out it for burns yet i doubt it burned up until eventually it overheated. make useful the heatsink is on each and each of ways in spite of the indisputable fact that. you're able to desire to of went with a corsair psu. I dont be responsive to what share watts your psu is yet i desire its over 500w. be certain you have the 4 pin connector from the psu plugged in or i think of must be 8 pin. you are able to touch me on yahoo messanger for extra suppoort merely view my profile.
