I want to start sleeping nude as I get pretty warm at night. I don't wear underwear or bra when I sleep. only tee shirt and shorts with a blanket on me (can't sleep without it) but I still get hot. I'm just embarassed to sleep naked because I don't want my family to know. what do I do??

well ask ur mom, just to be sure its ok, but maybe u should close ur door to ur room or something, if they find out just explain that ur hot at night

Go ahead and sleep nude if it makes you more comfortable - people have enough trouble getting enough sleep without being embarrassed. I haven't worn clothes to bed since I was 14, and I have never regretted it. I always hated getting all wound up in night clothes, with the cloth pulling at me.
However, it sounds like your room is too warm, do you have a way to cool it off? Try a thinner blanket, or just sleep under a sheet. We have a small fan aimed at our bed, and air conditioning. It's been a life saver this summer!
When sleeping in the nude, close your door, and put something loud in front of it. Then keep a robe near your bed.

I used to be the same. That is why I usually sleep topless wearing only boxers sometimes not even them. My advice is that if you do not want your family to know keep a pair of shorts and a tee shirt handy in case you need to get up in the middle of the night and make sure your blanket is big enough so it won't fall off without you knowing.

Many people sleep in nude as they feel more comfortable - no cloth tangles, no itchy with any straps, and it feels cooler too. Some experts suggest removing bra when sleeping for safety because the supporting wires can can be dangerous, but this opinion still contradicts with the use for sustaining the form of your breasts as well. If you're a girl then remember your cycle or you'll stain your bed. Leave a robe in a place you can grab in case of emergency and lock your door.

I have been sleeping nude for over 2 years, and I luv it. I occasionally have to wear something to bed (eg: when I stay at friends' places - some of their Mums freak at the thought of me sleeping nude but I hate it. My friends sometimes sleep nude when they stay at my place, bc they can't at home.
When I decided to start sleeping nude, I talked to my Mum about it. She was cool, and basically said it was ok provided I got dressed before I came downstairs in the morning, which was cool with me. So I encourage you to talk about it with your Mum. Once your family know you sleep nude there should be nothing for you to be embarrassed about. They should knock before coming into your room, and give you time to put on a robe or something if you wish. Or if you end up like me and don't care if your family see you nude, then its even less of a problem

I started sleeping nude when i was about 18 and have ever since. When I lived at home I simply locked my bedroom door and kept a robe by the bed.

My spouse and that i appreciate sound asleep nude. As people have already suggested this is a great freeing feeling. I slept nude even formerly I met my spouse. Now with a bare important different to cuddle with, the sensation is marvelous. NiF

Welcome to the world of sleeping nude!!! Well, you're getting there--hopefully. The best thing to do is have an "emergency" set of sleepwear in your bed. What I do is that I have my pajamas by my feet, and my shirt by my pillow. I do this when my room is not locked--such as if there are guests at home; usually I have my room locked.
As you know, after a while you become very comfortable in sleeping with little clothing-- I just can't sleep with clothes on.

Buy an extra large color TShirt 'cause it makes eyes seeing different than white, and FOTL tends to be thinner.
Remember to wash it before wearing. A 6 or 5-pack is about under $10-. Wear nothing else, and yes, close your door.

It is your body and if your too hot, you should get as comfortable as possible, and if that means sleeping nude then do it....:-)
