Studio is a one room apt (not counting the bathroom).

A one bedroom apt can be 2 or 3 rooms based on configuration. The kitchen may be enclosed and a separate room, or in open configuration. So, if the kitchen is inclosed, it's a 3 room apt (bedroom, kitchen, livingroom - not counting bathroom again).

Studio apt;s are cheaper than 1 bedroom apts because they have less square footage than a 1 bedroom apt.. So, it depends on what you can afford.

Studio is one open room other than maybe the bathroom or kitchen might be enclosed. A one bedroom is a defined walled off bedroom space. If you are living alone and have no pets a studio may be fine and less work to clean. A one bedroom might also meet your needs if you need to shut the door and have some privacy while guests come over or if you have pets that keep you up at night you can shut them out.

It would depend on the price difference.. You might want the added privacy/space of having a one bedroom... If the difference is not much go with the bigger space.. If you don't care get the studio and use a pull-out sofa bed to sleep on than if you have company it can be a couch.. So, you don't have friends hanging out on your bed ! Check them out and see what you like better.. Good luck
