It may take you a bit longer to start your period, but be patient, it will come. If you're already starting to see your body changing, such as developing breasts, pubic hair, extra body fat around your hips, etc, you may be getting ready to start already. Just give it some time. Your body may be different that your mom's and sister's.

It's ok to not get your period the at the same age as your mom and sister. My mom got her's when she was either 12 or 13, and I didn't get mine till I was about 15. Nothing to worry about. Every body is different.

Well, my mom and my older sister started their periods at 9 and 10. My younger sister got hers at 12. I could -not- wait to get mine!! And when I did get it (when I was 14), I was heartbroken and very upset because I was supposed to go with my friends to the pool that day.
Since I'm menstruating today, I might be a little biased in saying this, but I wish I could go back to the days -before- my period.

Relax, your period will come when your body is ready for it. If you have already been having some discharge then that is a sign your period is just around the corner. Generally, girls get their periods 1-2 years after they've started having discharge and growing breasts. Just be patient and wait your turn. Best of luck!

I was 14 (a couple months shy of 15) when I got my period. My sister got hers exactly two years later at the age of 15. Unless you get to age 16 or 17 and still have not started, please don't worry.

Be patient. I felt just like you when everyone was getting thier period and i didnt have mine yet. Now i wish i woulda never have gotten it! Lol. But i got it when i just turned 14 so i wouldnt worry about it. If you dont have it by the time your 16 then maybe call your doctor. So you still have a couple of years!

Just wait for it to come. Everyone's comes at a different time. some girls start around 8, some start at like 16. My friend's mom didn't start until she was a senior in high school. Just be patient and it will come.

Don't worry, You'll get it when it's your time.
Trust me, it won't make you feel any more mature or feminine.
That is truly a myth.
