Americans who reported that weapons were being sold in iraq, for cash, no receipt, were detained as 'security prisoners' and subjected to torture.

What will it take for bushies to decry the actions of this gang?

Forbes Magazine is published by the moneyed interests in this country. AP has a long history of supporting and covering for Bush. There is nothing at all wrong with this source, there is no propaganda here.

You Americans who excuse this absolutely disgust and frighten me. Where were you in civics class? Why is anything Bush does okay with you?

Halliburton is stealing YOUR tax dollars. You know, your precious hard earned money that you can't bear to share with the poor. Why do you want to share it with Halliburton?

I grew up a Navy brat, spent my entire childhood moving every 2 years, living all over the world, to help my father protect and defend this country's constitution. And you bush supporters didn't even bother to learn what it means to be an American.

You are truly enemies of the people.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6988054/ JUST ONE ARTICLE ON DEATHS IN ABU GRAIHB.

Fox News viewers score lowest on current events tests, you know. Fox News is right wing propaganda, like most american media.

Bushies are people who support that evil bastard regardless of what they learn about it, dismissing each and every bit of news about his crimes as 'propaganda.'

They are the ignorant 27% who still refuse to get it and will let Bush take us all the way to a police state. that's who they are.

Guess you all missed the US interrogator confirming our torture over there:

Scenic Point - c'mon, research the articles for the 'other side.' I don't have hostility, dear, I have the concern and outrage any decent American would have. Why don't you?

In addition, I guess you stood behind Bill Clinton and supported 'our president' in everything he did, too. How admirable. For a good soviet citizen.

this is sad when someone reports any wrong doing that they would be treated in such a manner.

it is a known fact that most of those who do, suffer for doing so. people are viewed negatively for 'snitching'. there is even a movement now among some rappers who tell those who 'snitch' that they will be punished and have t-shirt with the no snitching sign.

i am sure there are many instances of corruption in war on both sides and those who come forward to bring it to our attention should be rewarded,at least, with our respect.

i have have time to read the article completely and while i stand by initial statement, i think the word 'torture' is an overstatement as to how i define torture. we should be more accurate, he was denied his civil rights and this is or should be a criminal offense and i am sure he will sue. however when using the word 'torture, i visualize it to be methods that cause bodily harm....not humiliation or deprivation, these are valid techniques that should be applied to real enemies.

i watch democracy now and other shows on link tv but when quoting those as sources, you must realize that they are as far to the left as is humanly possible. i have seen some shows that are almost objective, but the majority are not. so i would use other sources that have more credibilty for accurate reporting.

Wow, I can't believe the hostility you got on this!
I saw the msnbc article through my daily 'Truth Out' mailing, but hadn't seen the Forbes article. Thanks!

I'm angry, but my cynical side isn't surprised. When 'Borg' Congress members try to eliminate the special inspector general for Iraq and when a judge dismisses the case against Custer Battles, this latest news item doesn't fall outside the realm of belief. I first heard about the IG and Custer Battles here:

I am wholly and wholly outraged that this even is up for debate! You are SO right! If anyone is being tortured they are going to say whatever to make the torture give up! And, what does it say approximately our society? A bunch of barbarians. How are we able to stroll round calling ourselves civilized and do that? How are we able to criticize different international locations for conduct akin to this after which do it ourselves? How is we're allowed to act in such an inhumane approach after which nonetheless anticipate nobody else to do it and nobody to do it to us! Do unto others, bible thumpers! You are not able to say a conduct is improper after which do it your self, or help others doing it! It is improper, it's inhumane, it's hypocritical, and to these of you that believe you handiest help our troops by means of now not wondering Shrub-it units up our troops for the identical style of medication. And wager what-it's idiotic! I simply have no idea how we will preserve our heads up and proudly name ourselves Americans, name ourselves a compassionate and civilized country, and nonetheless condone and enable this style of factor to occur.

In this day and time, it is always possible to dig up trash to your liking. I am sure I could dig up just as many opposing viewpoints and accounts, if I thought it worth my time, but based upon the open hostility of your rant, I don't deem it necessary.

I stand behind our President in anything he feels necessary to protect American interests. In times of war, the good of the whole far outweighs the rights of the individual. You don't 'get it' because you are obviously incapable of seeing beyond your own individual opinions and those that give rise to your own emotional outbursts.

Silly liberal. They're not torturing them they're just using "enhanced interrogation techniques." Just like the pretext for the war wasn't based on lies but rather "enhanced conceptions of reality." When will you people learn that the only way to fight fire is with fire. They kill 2700 of our people and we have to respond by killing 3000 of our people. Show 'em up you know. Cause if USA isn't number one then who is? You dumb liberals think you have to use water or some dumb idea like that. Don't you know using water would send the wrong message to our fire? Not to mention fire is cooler! It can involve big old explosions and cool guns and stuff! I like stuff.

And buttercup, that's a straw man, or straw men I should say. Don't use rhetorical tricks to convince yourself and others of your lies.

And you take the word of one person who was detained. The prisoners at GITMO claim that they are being tortured, too. And that is a JOKE. Many claimed that Abu Gahrib was torture, but butt pyramids and shame are ignorant and stupid...but not torture.

This article is suspicious at best.

ADDED: THE AP COVER FOR BUSH????? ROFLMAO!!!! You gotta be kidding. They have been talking heads for the left trying to crucify Bush...ID10T!
