Runaway.

I favor performance over drama.

Also, it'd be nice to enjoy just once. Not everyone got to experience being a fan of, say, the 1984 Tigers.

I would rather have my team in a tight division race just because the games would be more worth going to. It would also be fun to watch a team run away with there division, because you could see the opposing team getting creamed. With that, you would know that it was less likely of them losing in there division.

I rather have my team in a runaway in their division. Even though it is not as much of excitement for the fans it is less stress off the players and it would be a good time to try new players and get the rookies more plying time so you know you are prepared for the playoffs.

i'd rather have a tight division race because it provides more excitement. Although it is nice to win the division by a lot because you know just how good your team is and you know that your team will make the playoffs.

Of course all of us would like their teams to make the playoffs, but I would rather be in a tight race than a runaway. Runaways are always fun, but they aren't exciting and sometimes runaways don't make it past the first round in the playoffs because they aren't ready to play tough baseball.

Division standings matter a little bit less than league standings (since home-field in the league play-offs and qualifying as wild-card depends on league standings). I would rather have a comfortable lead mostly due to the ability to give the players more rest days.

In the past years, several teams have reached the play-offs only to find that the need to go to shorter rotations had left their pitchers used up when the play-offs started. In addition, having a comfortable lead allows you to set up your rotation in the order that you want to use them for the play-offs.

Oh the tight division race for sure - it is much more fun to watch.

They will be in the tight division race as hold the league's best win records and become the highest payroll both season and postseason.

I usually have a tight race every year and I enjoy it. I'm a Twins fan, so like last year, we're starting to pick it up. We're closing in on 2nd place Detroit (only 2.5 games). It keeps things more interesting.
