Does any actor here sometimes feel like you sucked in a scene? Today I did a scene, and I felt like I didn't do so well. Now, I feel like crap! I mean I did prepare for the scene, but when I got up and did it I just tanked!!! I felt like I didn't speak clearly and it was awkward being up there!!! I guess I need to work harder!!!

Yeah, it happens to all of us. When it happens to me I just try to find out what was wrong and try to avoid it the next time. Many things can make you 'off'. You might have a bit of a cold, you may not have warmed up enough, you may have other things on your mind, or your energy might just be off. Yes, it sucks when it happens, but all you can do is move on and try not to do it again. Besides, you probably weren't as bad as you think you were. Ask others who were there. The good thing about actors and directors is if you sucked, they'll tell you; but not to be mean or rude (most of them anyway) but to be objective. Ask them. I bet they'll say you weren't that bad, but they may have a good critique to give you. Don't sweat it. If you had fun with it, that's the most important thing anyway. Break a leg!

May i ask what play/ movie or whatever you are acting in...... and its alright... most of the time ... you are your worst critic anyway.. and sometimes you DO have a reason to feel like you didnt do your best.. but if you truly prepared for that scene... and you knew your lines and did your best... i think you are just putting yourself down because you dont know how good you are :) KEEP ACTING!! ITS THE BOMB ISNT IT?

It is really good that you feel that way. This means that you want to succeed in your craft. Work hard, to be your very best, and don't let the occasional poor performance, get you down.
