I have been trying to find some space for myself. This might just be it. Six trillion miles of peace and solitude. It would just be my luck, however, that the moment I moved there, a McDonalds and a shopping mall would soon follow, along with a development of condominiums.

The discovery of another void in the statistical distribution of matter in the universe comes as no surprise to astronomers or astrophysicists. It seems to bother ill-informed news media reporters, but not working scientists.

It has been understood for about 50 years that star clusters (clusters of galaxies, including us) are distributed in space in a form that resembles a sponge or a piece of swiss cheese; full of voids and tunnels. Nothing new or disturbing about this, okay?

So no, it is nothing new, and it is not particularly disturbing.
