I like this gurl, and we are both in the same 11 grade US History class, but she sits on the other side of the room, and everyone kinda has seats they sit in every day, they're not assigned, but i dont really want to take someones seat. And i know i need to get to know her before I make any moves, But i dont know how to get to know her, because i dont know what to say if i see her in the halls. (Actually its a portable, so it would be on the way back to the school) and i dont want to make her late.
What should I do?

Can't talk in class anyway so get to her before or after the class and if nothing else talk about the lesson that day. It will break the ice and you can go from there.

Next time the teacher announces a test, ask several people (including this girl) if they want to study. You'll have a chance to get to know her better without throwing yourself at her.

Just start talking to her and walk her to her class. If you feel that she doesn't want you around then she's not interested...
