The most common cause for poetic writer's block is that the poet is trying too hard. Your inspiration is everywhere you look! You can look at a piece of paper or a candy wrapper on the ground and write a poem about that...how it got there, what kind of person put it there, what were they going through, how could they be so sloppy, how you feel about seeing it there, how it constrasts with the ground on which it lays...the permutations are endless. Look around your house, find a picture frame, now write about the person who made the frame, or about how they never knew the person in the picture in which it holds, or how they should have met in life, but didn't, only to meet by the connection of the photograph. See what I mean? Your poem should not be inspired by someone else's poem, it should be inspired by how you view the world and the things therein.

hope this helps
