so, i am planning to go tomorrow to six flags magic mountain, and i have an industrial piercing (left ear, barbell through two holes) , ive had it for about seven weeks, and it still hurts if i bump it,especially in the top part, and i dont know what rides i can get on, im scared of bumping my ear, and then it bleeding and hurting too much to want to get on any other rides after..! does anybody know what rides probably do have people bumping the sides of their heads and ears? sounds kind of silly i know, but i dont want to risk being in excrusiating pain (hope thats how u spell it). any suggestions? what rides are okay, which definately aren't??
thanks for your help :)

its a good ride, but you get your head bumped alot.

As for the rest, you should be ok.
These rides have over the shoulder harnesses, but none really bump too much:
Batman
Riddlers
Scream
Dejavu
Tatsu
Ninja
Revolution (thats a bit of bumping unless your really tall or short!)

The rest are all lap bars. But, seems that many are shoulder bars for the good ones. Try taking ibuprophen before going and keep some in the car jik. It will help with the swelling and the pain.
If its been 7 weeks and its still sore, maybe you should have it looked at by a dr. It might be slightly infected and you may need antibiotics. 7 weeks is really a long time and it should be pretty healed by now! maybe tonight (asap) you should get some rubbing alcohol and cotton and clean it really well until you get a chance to have someone look at it. And do have someone look at it! If its just a mild infection, it can be cured now, but if not looked at, you could end up having to take it out!

Good luck, and have fun!

Unless you don't want to ride any rides period, you're looking nixing AT LEAST all the rollercoasters and probably most flat rides. If they have the normal log flume style rides, you might be ok with those, as well as some water park rides, but other than that, the majority of rollercoasters that I've been on all bang you head at least a little.
