Where do you go for intelligent-conversation? As in, who do you talk-to about things with depth and meaning? Life, soceity ect. Question that will never have answers, but you like to ask anyway? Really over-thinking, some might say "annoying" questions. Have U found a place like that? Are you lookin'? I've tried Yahoo but . . . its pretty hard! I mean I get great answers and all. . . but still. I'm usually left to ponder my thoughts on my own. It can drive me crazy sometimes. Comes with being an introvert I guess. THOUGHTS?

*sighs* Seriously... This is how you wanna play it? It's actually hard to carry on intelligent conversation with people like you, because you refuse to listen to reason. Everything HAS to be your way, or you blow a gasket and go nuts. By the way, not all liberals love Obama, myself included. But I voted for him to keep a destructive, bat-guano crazy Mitt Romney out of office. Romney and Ryan had destructive polices which actually lead to the great depression in the first place. And taking away safety nets from the disabled, the elderly, and the veterans is not the way to handle things. I got some things I'm conservative about, and I got some things I'm liberal about. Do you think Obama can fix something on the other side of the globe in 3 to 40 minutes? And if he did watch that satellite feed, it probably hurt him that he couldn't do anything to save them. He isn't the heartless guy you think he is, albeit he is an incompetent official. If it wasn't for Obamacare, if I worked the job I'm best suited for, I'd be unable to have ANY form of proper healthcare due to pre-existing conditions that I was born with. Try looking outside your own little box before you judge. Good day to you.

Intelligent conversation is rare in most environments because even people with good educations are too often programmed by prejudices that were subtly foisted on them in their youth. Besides that, Western thought is so stuck on the concept of diametrical opposition. Phenomena in the universe are spectral in nature, yet that reality rarely sees light in non-scientific conversations.
The other difficulty rarely overcome is that few people listen to a speaker unless the subject is directly connected with an agenda in their realm.
Intelligent conversation should be true dialogue. The best examples of true dialogues I have found are ones held by Daisaku Ikeda of the SGI. I cannot reach those people, yet have found professionals in sgi-USA with whom to discuss those dialogues and other writings on connected subjects and that has been very satisfying.
I have been researching an international translation issue for many years, and have had some great conversations with researchers in the fields upon which my research touches. Those have been all too brief because they are so busy chasing grants to continue their science.

For a intelligent conversation go to certain forums sections. Its impossible at my school to find any kid who stop acting up for 5 min to actually think about something. I have had a few good converstions with some teachers but there usually busy so online only place find anyone sain course got to be carfull were you look then. You just have to pick the right subjects look into and ignore the handfull of kids who post junk. Found best get into politics forums if they know enough to start a topic of some intellegents then can usually follow with any debates

It's really frustrating, I'm in the same boat. People aren't into talking about anything that actually means something. It's really frustrating.
I was lucky enough to find a friend who I could talk to about things like that, but past that I had nothing. Occasional talks with my dad, but those were few and far between.
I find it pretty hard to do. Most people don't like wondering and pondering and all that jazz.

I can relate as I like to talk about those "deep" things also. I like that stuff, I don't know if you would consider my contributions intelligent or not. How about starting up a regular Skype chat room or something? It may be kind of fun and may not take a long time to build up regular listeners. Maybe consider a podcast also.

I don't know where to go to online, as I have an 18 month old son who takes up most of my time. But I do remember that when I was dating a few years ago, it was VERY hard to find someone I was able to just talk to, and not feel like I was in an interview. Good Luck :)
God Bless

You may find an on-line philosophy course as a means of satisfaction. Since you are an introvert it would be ideal. You would never have to leave your house. The professors can engage you with plenty of intelligent conversation.

It isn't easy to be you... Introvert and a snub... You must lead a very lonely life... Fortunately, I know exactly how you feel... So, I can offer you a few ways to make your life happier. You reach deep down into your soul and become friendlier to people around you: learn to accept them just the way they are. Or keep looking for intriguing people and when you find them, keep them in your life for ever.

Find or create a group that share your interests. You have nothing to lose... you will have to evoke the extrovert in you to accomplish this.
