i was asked if i was the jealous type, but i don't think i am. i may be a LITTLE bit if my guy payed more attention to another girl (even family members) and ignored me, but that's as bad as i get. i don't get all dramatic about it. SO ARE THERE LEVELS OF JEALOUSY?

I believe there are two levels of jealousy.

First level - Something makes you jealous..you outwardly shrug it off but go home and dwell on it eventually making you so angry you go on facebook or pick up the phone and start spreading gossip and hate filled words about the one who did you wrong.

Second Level - you get yourself a stolen pistol with the serial numbers chisled off..you wait until your man is alone with the girl then...

Um..
Level one most likely is the better kind of jealousy..

Yes. When you find yourself madly entrenched in a romantic obsession, the level of jealousy kind of plateaus. You might notice friends stop talking to you, and your significant other flinches if he sees a pretty girl and you happen to be looking at him looking at her.

In my last marriage, I was not jealous, because I felt more of a sister-brother feeling toward my husband. We were great friends, and there was no need for jealousy.

In my current marriage, my HUSBAND is the jealous one, and he monitors my every move.

YES there ARE different levels.

I agree with the majority here, there are different levels of jealousy. I felt jealous and left out when my husband chose to spend his free time joining clubs and leagues and planning vacations with his friends when we were too broke to do any of these things as a family. It wasn't about other women, if he wanted them then so be it and then he would be without me in any area. It was that he chose to spend free time elsewhere.

Yes, I believe so!...I mean there are the Crazy jealous people..who wont let their bf/gf do anything without them being there...they try to control..and sometimes when they break up they STALK them....

Then theres the jealousy where if you talk to someone of the opposite sex..or talk about someone..of course your better half gets a little jealousy tats perfectly NORMAL

I don't think so. There are different levels of overreacting to jealousy. I guess it depends on what level you are on the drama queen scale.
1. throw a temper tantrum
2. start crying and yelling in public places
3. destroy his or her private property to further explain what pain and suffering they have caused.
4. all of the above and all at once.

Yes there are. My brother got mad when I got on the computer b/c he was the "Techno Geek" and he was 'supposed' to be the only one who can even turn on a computer-like I have to bow down to him. He gets mad when my mother speaks to me. He thinks she favors me when she talks to me. I see her 2wice a year. He lives an hour from her. he can easily spend time with her.

There are other levels of jealousy like relationship-wise,
family wise, mentally, phisically, and emotionally also.

Yes, I would say they range from lo to medium to extreme. Low being you feel a little turn in your gut when say your man is paying attention to another woman. Medium is when you actually confront him about it, and then high would be puncturing the tires on her/his vehicle or even murdering someone.

Yes, I believe jealousy comes in different levels. I wish that emotion would never exist. Life would be so pleasant if we didn't get that surge of rrrrrr in us.
