I agree that is getting ridiculous , But Sometimes they might be having a bad day {feeling bloated, fat, ugly},Like someone breaks up with and they want to know why. I hope this is a good enough answer.
As long as you think you look good, Who cares what others think.

Maybe they just need reassurance. Even pretty people have
problems that could leave them less than self assured. My
cousin is beautiful, but she has never been out going, very
reserved. Being beautiful is an outside thing. Confidence comes from within.
