I have a linksys router, model 6100 ,my internet connection just never stays stable, without it disconnecting, What I want to know is how to maintain a stable internet connection,without it disconnecting all the time

A lot of times you may get disconnected from the internet because your TCP/IP and your Client for Microsoft Networks adapters need to be reset. Sometimes those files wear out.
It also could be the hardware given to you from your ISP. Try making a direct connect to your PC bypassing the router will answer a few questions.If you still get the same issues then its probably a software issue. then try resetting the network adapters

in linksys routers, there is an option that will restart your modem after a length of time. it is on by default. so turn it off by going to the linksys interface.

I;m just stating an obvious one here but... Bad cable between modem and router? I'm sure you tried that .. Also try re-installing the drivers for your network adapter.

Is it a wireless connection? Maybe your computer is too far away from the router...
