the door lock actuator is going bad. It is cycling between lock and unlock as the magnetic solenoid is breaking down.
you will need to have the door lock actuator replaced. It is usually limited to one door only and it typically runs about $150 to replace the bad actuator.

hope that answers your question

when i had a '00 civic that would sometimes happen to me when it was very cold. also, it would happen if i went a bit overboard at the car wash. water would get on the connections inside the door.
when that happened i would use the key to unlock the driver's door and it would fix itself. i never had to have any actuators fixed, but that could be the problem you face.
any good auto service tech could check it out for you. maybe you have a bad connection or one of the components is really bad.

This happened in my car, and I found that a fuse had blown. Bring it to a garage, and tell them to look at the fuses, or if you can change fuses, then you can do it!
