My younger brother and sister have been using a internet downloading system called Ares. They told me today that they received a warning message telling them that they will be fined if they continue downloading.

I didn't personally see it so I don't know exactly what it said. Has anyone else received such a message?

Many people have - the message is either a warning from your ISP, or informing them that they are being sued for piracy. Using Ares to download music, movies or software is illegal. It's copyright infringement and carries a fine of between $750.00 and $150,000.00 per file downloaded illegally. You should find out who sent the letter. If it's from the ISP then it's a warning that they've been abusing the connection and if they continue then their account will be terminated. If it's a letter from the MPAA, RIAA or another entertainment company then you need to find a lawyer.

in case your careful of virus's then stay remote from persons which you listed, as you will get contaminated. I;ve seen it happen with limewire, took me 2 days to do away with a an infection. Which brought about the computing device to run sluggish, screwed up the history and nonstop popup. no longer exciting, believe me... And don;t think of by employing employing yet another software like Ares potential your secure, as they're one in the comparable, merely different names, you prefer to be secure and virus unfastened, pass with Itunes or Amazon. they're the two secure and wont reason problems. Yeah you ought to pay for them, yet in the long-term it is going to keep you time and funds. to no longer point out the actuality that Japan is on the fringe of make it unlawful and could ban every person from the internet that downloads copyrighted cloth for unfastened. It wont be long till different international locations follows their lead.
