Most of the time I would not answer it and hope they'd have left a message. When I see that they haven't left a msg then I wish I'd have answered it :). I do answer unknown numbers when I feel like I want to answer. But it doesn't happen often.

I'd usualy answer if i have my moby with me but if i don't recognise whoever it is and they say ' hi.. is that' and then my name.. i'll ask who's calling then if i'm not interested.. i'll just say ' sorry , she's not here at the moment, she's left her phone with me, if you tell me your name i ll leave her a message to ring you back'
If i miss the call, my answer machine will get it.. if its thats important, they should leave a mssage.

If it's a number I don't recognize then I become slightly curious. That lasts for about oooo maybe 30 sec. After which I don't care.

I only don't answer if the number is withheld, if its a number I don't recognise, I answer the it, in case is someone I know with a different number.
