A patent is issued for an invention of unique design or a unique improvement on an existing product.

What you're looking for, to protect your idea, is called a copyright. That makes the phrase yours.

And yes, you can copyright a unique, identifiable phrase or sentence.

NO! Patents are for creative solutions or inventions or ideas.
All you can do is register a copyright on the design.
You can send it in a registered letter to yourself & don't open.
But then you have to sue whoever infringes by copying.
So it's basically not worth it unless you sell a million.

I think you mean copyright. And yes you can get a copyright on it.
You don't have to as long as you can show you are the original user of it, but a copyright helps that greatly.

you cannot patent a saying but you can patent a logo. It is just a matter of HOW you do it not What you do. By atent I mean a copyright as well same deal as far as infringement goes.

All you need to do to copyright anything is to say that you have done so. E.g., "Copyright (C) John Doe, 2007."
