peek through the curtains, get someone else to answer it and say your not in (hehee) or don't you answer it....?

I usually peek through the curtains and if I don't like who is at the door, I just ignore it and hope they go away LOL

If someone knocks on the door and I am not expecting anyone, I am peeking through the curtains first.
I hate it when people turn up unanounced, it is rude.

I typically look through the peep hole and see who it is, then if it's someone that looks suspicious or like they are selling me crap I just don't answer it even with the television going and my son squealing I still don't. They usually leave after five minutes, if it's someone that doesn't look to threatening I will open the door a crack and peek out.

I peek through the window on the door to see who it is, and if I do not recognize them, I ask what they want. I never open my door for strangers.

I always answer because I just can't ignore anybody but I do always have my polite version of a 'get lost' answer ready. Stuff like, I'm just going out, I'm sorry but I've got something cooking... that sort of thing. And if they really don't take the hint I have been known to say that I'm really sorry but I'm not interested as I'm closing the door politely in their face.

We don't get many visitors, if we are expecting someone, we may just open the door, but most of the time, we ask who it is. You can't be too trusting nowdays...
