My husband and I make about $60,000 together and I know we aren't on easy street by any means....we struggle a lot!

Here's a link to the Economic Policy Institute's family budget calculator. It will let you find out how much it custs to survive based on your geographical location (city & state) and your family size. This calculator shows you what it costs for a family to have the bare essentials (no luxuries or savings) in a given location.

You should also check out the Wage Project. Its about the wage gap between men and women (its currently 27 cents on the dollar) and how to close it (read: make as much money as you earn!)

As of 2/07 $20,650 for a family of 4 - so by your account the 2 of you at 60,000 are wealthy.

it was 16000 its probley higher now
