"Summer In The City"
Recorded By: The Lovin' Spoonful (1966)
Words and Music By: John Sebastian, Mark Sebastian, Steve Boone
Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head
But at night it's a different world
Go out and find a girl
Come-on come-on and dance all night
Despite the heat it'll be all right
And babe, don't you know it's a pity
That the days can't be like the nights
In the summer, in the city
In the summer, in the city
Cool town, evening in the city
Dressing so fine and looking so pretty
Cool cat, looking for a kitty
Gonna look in every corner of the city
Till I'm wheezing like a bus stop
Running up the stairs, gonna meet you on the rooftop
Etc.

Sugar Magnolia by the Grateful Dead
I met someone in the summer of 2001 and we adventured
and hung around with each other until November.
It was one of the best summers of my life. I still go to the places we found that year. We have a whole CD of songs we put together that year and I still listen to them.
Thanks for the memories
What a great question

Okay, now, you have to bear in mind that I am 35 years old, so...back in the summer of '90 I was graduating from high school (oh my God!). Madonna's "Vogue" had recently come out and it was like GROUNDBREAKING!!! So, my girlfriends and I ditched our prom dates and took the limo ourselves into the city to go to Hard Rock Cafe afterwards. Someone brought a tape of Vogue (yes, a cassette tape) and we popped into the stereo. Before we knew it we were all dancing around the limo, voguing of course! And then someone got the bright idea to take our bras off and hang them out the sunroof as we cruised down the highway. We thought it was the most hilarious thing! Stupid high school kids! ;) Everytime I hear that song now that's all I can think of-prom night, graduation and the start of our last summer before leaving for college!

Hot Town Summer in the City, by The Lovin Spoonful
That song brings back days of; baking in Sun, walking to/from the Pool, hot, hot days/nights with no fan or air conditioning, putting notes down the toilet hole in the Outhouse, and walking in the country drinking moonshine.

The Beachboys WERE summer in the 60's! You could throw a dart and pick, but "Good Vibrations" came out in a really good summer for me. And yeah, dude, I've still got the 33. pass the peace of summer

Want to know how to get your ex back? Change yourself. Don't worry about changing other people, worry about changing yourself. Go to https://tr.im/nxDQV
Once you do that then you can start to worry about getting back together with your ex, other wise you will find that you are fighting about all the same things and getting no where. Do what it takes and I promise things will work out in your favor.
The funny thing is I came to the realization that I had to change a little too late. After I was kicked out and after I was about to lose the only things that truly mattered to me - her love. A funny thing happens when we truly love someone and lose them. We do what ever it takes to get them back. For me I had to drop bad habits that had caused not only our relationship to sour but practically every other relationship I had had in the past. Not only with women, but with friends, co-workers, family, you name it.
Which is why I say to you as my ex at the time said to me, the only thing you can do is change yourself. Work on yourself and improve on the person that you already are. Drop the negative things in your life that don't belong there and you will see all of your relationships start to take off to new heights.
