I have been on the pill for over 10 years now and have been taking the same pill for over 8 months. and for the last 3 months I have been experiencing breakthrough bleeding its not anything like a period its kinda brownish pinkish blood and varies and is usually very light. I first thought i might have been preganant casue I had alot of other symptoms that come and go.But I dont think theres anyway i could be 3 months preg. and bleed like this.Although i ve had alot of other symotoms. 2 months ago i only spotted a liitle and had no period I told my dr they said come back if i didnt get my period. But i got my period that month but was early so is that condidered a period or breakthrough bleeding?

This could still be breakthrough bleeding. I would recommend getting back in touch with your doctor to see what they think.

Sometimes this kind of bleeding can occur because the body has become immune to the medication after being on it for a certain amount of time (have had this happen to me before).
